Overview

Together with our strategic Health & Life Sciences partner, d-wise, we are working on a multi-year project to design and build a Statistical Computing Environment (SCE) for a Top 5 pharmaceutical company.

SCE systems manage the versioning, security, and integrity of data, programs, and outputs used in clinical data analysis. An SCE streamlines operations and helps pharmaceutical companies achieve 21CFR Part 11 compliance for the US FDA.

It was amazing how quickly Whitepace learned our complex clinical research domain and were able to bring together their creative design methodology with our client's unique process needs to ensure what we build together is readily adopted and greatly appreciated by the end users.

Accomplishments

We led multiple UX workshops in the USA and Europe, as well as conducted interviews with statisticians, medical writers, data analysts, and statistical programmers in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Using the insights obtained from the UX research phase, we recommended a new optimized workflow and user interface design for a cloud-based statistical analysis & reporting solution that is helping to accelerate clinical trials.

The build process is currently underway with a React front-end, a Java back-end, and a SAS grid deployed on Amazon EKS. The 30-person delivery team, of which Whitespace is an integral part, collaborates across 9 countries and multiple time zones.
